VICTOR, N.Y., February 17, 2016 — Finger Lakes Technologies Group, Inc. (FLTG) is pleased to announce it has successfully completed the Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type 2 audit with no exceptions for 2015. The audit verifies that FLTG’s practices, policies, procedures and operations meet the SOC 2 Type 2 standards for security, availability and confidentiality.
SOC II is a rigorous audit that is challenging for services organizations that must be completed annually. The audit criteria has been developed over time and includes a comprehensive list of control activities to meet the principles of security, availability, confidentiality, privacy and integrity. FLTG’s audit includes the bunkers at FLTG Park, our co-location facilities in Phelps, and the internal systems and procedures FLTG uses to fulfill services at those locations.
“Completing the SOC 2 Type 2 audit again with no exceptions demonstrates our ongoing commitment to security and underscores the investment we’ve made to keep our customer’s data and systems safe,” said Paul H. Griswold, President and CEO of FLTG. “The SOC 2 accreditation is important to our cloud & data center services offered primarily out of the bunkers at FLTG Park in Romulus and at the co-location facility in Phelps.”
FLTG customer prospects primarily in health care, education, municipal, and financial market segments often ask for or require that FLTG share our SOC 2 report along with a COB (continuity of business) plan.
