2012 was a tremendous year for Finger Lakes Technologies Group’s family of companies, as we had another year of record growth across the board. It also was the year we broke ground on our new company headquarters, which took place in October.

Our new 22,500 square-foot building is on track for completion in May, when we will become the first tenant in the new Lehigh Crossing Business Park in the hamlet of Fishers, N.Y.

Gaining National Recognition
Last year also was a year of numerous awards. Our first attempt at making the Inc. 5000 List of America’s Fastest-Growing Companies was successful. We applied and made the list on our first try, coming in at number 2,956.

In November, FLTG was recognized by Tech Data Corp. during its TechSelect Conference. TechSelect is Tech Data Corp.’s community of IT resellers supporting the technology-solutions needs of small- to medium-sized businesses. FLTG received TechSelect’s Outstanding Member award. Approximately 400 channel partners attended the conference to share profitable growth strategies and to discuss the latest IT technologies.

In addition, I am personally honored to have received the Visionary Leadership Award from Digital Rochester. This award recognizes an individual who “instills their vision, providing the inspiration and motivation that compels an organization to take dramatic steps in applying innovative technology in any given field that resulted in increased productivity, efficiency or business success.”

Fiber-Optic Network Expansion
Nine more cities were added to our fiber-optic network, as we built out an additional 252 miles of fiber last year. As a result, our fiber-optic network now spans 850 miles across the state, from Rochester to Ithaca, Syracuse, Cortland, and Binghamton. We now have fiber optic connectivity in 20 cities across Upstate New York. Thank you to our team for growing so quickly in less than 5 years!

New Product
I am excited to announce that we have a new audio conferencing product available. This new product offers a web interface that gives you greater control and security over your conference. 30 day trials are available. Please contact your sales rep for more details.
Our hosted PBX product offering has new and exciting features available including off-hook page and pause in speed dial. New features are rolled out as often as possible. If there is a feature you are looking for, please let us know., Your feedback is critical to our product development.
